Lifelong Ministry Course Registration & Fees

ACMin Courses are available to the public as auditing students (i.e. no college credit is earned), and to Dual Enrollment High School and Home School students.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Enrolled ACMin students and Dual Enrollment students must register through Populi. See TUITION RATES for degree-seeking students. To register as a non-degree-seeking (auditing) student:

Senior Discount:
 Individuals age 65 or older may enroll in LMP courses at a 20% discount.

Prayer Leadership Certificate

ACMin offers a 6-course series for those interested in boosting their ministry to others in Christ through prayer. Program participants will develop an in-depth personal, biblical theology for prayer as well as strong skills for helping bind up the broken hearted through prayer ministry.

BIBLICAL STUDIES

Foundations of Faith
Meeting Times: Tuesdays, 5:30 – 9:30 PM
Description: The course presents a survey of Christ-centered biblical history and provides, through the study of Scripture, a theological framework for God, Jesus, salvation, the Holy Spirit, the spiritual world, evil, the Church, and specific theological beliefs. The course includes an introduction to inductive Bible study and an overview of church history.

Systematic Theology
Meeting Times: Wednesdays, 5:30 – 9:30 PM
Description:This course presents biblical doctrine, the existence of God and His attributes, the Trinity, Theism, doctrine of creation, man, the fall, death, heaven, hell, doctrine of the church, spiritual warfare, the power of God through His Word, and Christ’s return. Students will gain experience in integrating doctrine into real world situations and in understanding how theological concepts are expressed differently across cultures.

CARE MINISTRY

Effective Prayer Ministry Tools: Reframing Life’s Hurts
Meeting Times: Monday, July 15th – Friday, July 19th; 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Description: In this course, participants will examine emotional and relational pain resulting from past unresolved hurts, and the myriad of ways that we avoid our unpleasant feelings. By understanding how the brain processes emotions, students will learn how to help others get free from their fear of pain or from avoiding it through destructive behaviors.  Using Immanuel prayer, students will learn effective ways to usher their ministry recipients from a place of pain into a joy-filled lifestyle found in Christ.

CHRISTIAN STUDIES

His Creation: Talents & Spiritual Gifts
Meeting Times: Tuesdays, 2:00 – 4:30 PM
Description: This course will equip students to identify and develop their identity in Christ as stewards entrusted with unique, individual talents. The course provides a biblical perspective on spiritual gifts and explores theological issues surrounding spiritual gifts in ministry. This course will give students the tools to discover, explore, and practice their God-given gifts and talents and will prepare them to represent the Lord in their circles of influence within a domain of leadership through the application of talents and gifts within the context of ministry teams and as team leaders. Students will examine biblical, historical, and philosophical precedents for working groups and teams as related to ministry applications and realities.

FIELD MINISTRY

The Theology of Missions
Meeting Times: Tues. & Thurs., 10:00 AM – Noon
Description:This course presents a comprehensive study of the biblical foundation for mission as it relates to the church’s missionary obligation before God. Special attention will be given to exploring important issues within contemporary evangelical missiology. A study of Acts examines the birth and growth of the early church. In addition to studying the historical sequence of events, the student will consider Luke’s theological themes, learn to extrapolate legitimate biblical principles from a historical narrative, and apply those principles in the development of a contemporary missions’ strategy.
