Sparrow’s Nest Administrative Assistant

Position Reporting to the Executive Director/Director’s Assistant, the Administrative Assistant will have strategic and operational responsibility for the Sparrow’s Nest front office. A large community of volunteers supports the Administrative Assistant. This is a part-time position. Pay is at minimum wage.

Qualifications

  • Committed to The Sparrow’s Nest’s mission as a Christ-centered service ministry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations in professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain professional and personal boundaries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of clientele.
  • Answer phone calls and reply to voice messages in a timely manner.
  • Provide assistance with Georgia birth certificates, Georgia IDs, and prescriptions.
  • Provide referrals to other local service agencies.
  • Coordinating volunteers in conducting Sparrow’s Nest operations.
  • Assist in drafting newsletters as well as updating our social media pages.
  • Help keep records of the organization’s monthly statistics as well as community service worker’s hours.
  • Keep records of clientele.
  • Report directly to the Director/Director’s Assistant and complete any tasks assigned.

Hours/Salary

  • Mondays and Tuesdays 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Wednesday – Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm
  • Salary: 34 hours per week at $15,000/year

Director of Worship Arts

Northwest Chapel – Dublin, OH

Northwest Chapel is a Charis Fellowship church located in the town of Dublin, OH which is a suburb of Columbus. The church is led by Senior Pastor Rob Barlow who came on as the senior pastor 7 years ago. The church currently has two Sunday morning services at 9:00a and 10:30a, both of which are identical with a blended worship style. Attendance currently runs around 500 each Sunday for their main worship services.

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Director of Worship Arts to lead their worship ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity to develop a church worship culture. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and drive the process of the weekly worship services in conjunction with the teaching Pastor and other leaders
  • Lead worship during services and mentor/oversee other worship team members
  • Oversee the development, coordination, and scheduling of all worship service participants

Kid’s Pastor

Connect Christian Church – Cincinnati, OH

Connect Christian Church is located just outside of Cincinnati, OH. The church is lead by Lead Pastor Mike Edmisten and members of the congregation that make up the Elder Board. Connect has only been portable for around seven years after selling their building to move towards more of a contemporary atmosphere. Attendance right now typically runs around 250 each week. Currently the church offers two Sunday services, 9:30am and 11:00am, both of which are identical.

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Kid’s Pastor to lead their children’s ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity to lead and develop a safe and growing culture in the children’s ministry that surrounds and supports the mission and vision of Connect Christian Church. Below are the requirements and responsibilities Foot Group has identified for this role:

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit, develop, and oversee volunteers
  • Plan, execute Sunday morning responsibilities
  • Plan, execute non Sunday service events
  • Interpret and cast the vision of the church into the context of the Children’s ministry

Part Time Worship Leader

Lawrence Free Methodist Church Lawrence, KS

Lawrence Free Methodist Church is located in Lawrence, KS about 30 miles west of Kansas City. LFMC is part of the Great Plains Conference of the Free Methodist Church in North America, and is also a member of the Willow Creek Association. The church is led by Senior Pastor Alex Alexander who has been on staff for a year. Each weekend, the church sees approximately 450 people during their 8:30 am traditional service, and their 10:30 am contemporary worship service.

Currently, the church is looking to hire a part time worship leader to lead their contemporary worship services and help shepherd and grow the worship ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity to develop a church worship culture. Below are the responsibilities and qualifications outlined for this position:

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership, vision, and passion in the area of worship ministries that is in line with the overall vision and mission of LFMC.
  • Take the lead in creating and implementing new worship opportunities which align with the mission and vision at LFMC.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Pastor to create well-planned and engaging Sunday worship services.
  • Prepare and lead all rehearsals and soundchecks.
  • Lead the Sunday worship service.
  • Oversee the worship team.
  • Develop and administer an annual budget for the worship ministry in accordance with the financial policies of the church.
  • If available, attend weekly staff meetings and participate in the planning and implementation of church programs that will fulfill the mission and vision of the church. If not available, coordinate a time for a weekly meeting with the Lead Pastor.
  • Assist in planning, implementing and leading worship for special events outside of Sunday worship services. Based on availability.

OTHER  RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Senior Pastor and staff of any pertinent situations that arise regarding the worship ministry.
  • General pastoral responsibilities shared by the team and other duties as required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a born-again Christian.
  • Meeting the 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5 qualifications for church leaders.
  • Commitment to LFMC’s doctrine, vision, values, and beliefs.
  • Commitment to a team approach to ministry.
  • Relational style of leadership and ministry.
  • Joyful spirit and good sense of humor.
  • Able to work without direct supervision.
  • Proficiency to lead worship both vocally and with a guitar and/or keyboard.
  • Experience in leading worship in a contemporary setting.
  • GED or High School Diploma required, continued education preferred.

HOURS: It is anticipated that the duties associated with this position will take approximately 15 hours per week.

  • Direct, oversee and pastor the worship community of Grace Church in the two worship services
  • Build fresh, engaging and relevant Sunday worship services that prepares people for hearing and responding to the Word of God
  • Develop and mentor members of the worship and tech team to help reach their maximum potential
  • Cultivate a Christ-centered community by providing spiritual care and encouragement to the team

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Worship Arts Pastor to lead their worship ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity to develop a church worship culture. Below are the requirements and responsibilities we have identified for this role:

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct, oversee and pastor the worship community of Word of Grace Church in the two worship services including all production and video venues
  • Serve as a member of the Pastoral Team who disciples and equips members of WOG
  • Build fresh, engaging and relevant Sunday worship services that prepares people for hearing and responding to the Word of God
  • Develop and mentor members of the worship team, student band, and some of the media team to help reach their maximum potential
  • Provide oversight of the worship culture for the entire church, not necessarily leading worship in each venue but helping to build teams and speaking into the worship of all age groups
