Marcia Wilbur – President

A founding Trustee of the Athens College of Ministry, Marcia currently serves as the head of the college.  She holds an A.B. from the University of Michigan, an M.A.C.T. from Michigan State University in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in Education.  During her career in education, she spent 25 years as an instructional leader in secondary and post-secondary settings and leading workshops and seminars across the country on topics related to instructional pedagogy.  More recently she worked for 8 years as the Executive Director of Curriculum Development for the College Board’s Advanced Placement Program. God called Marcia, her husband Rick, and their 4 children to Athens in 1999.  He then called Marcia and the inaugural Board of Trustees to begin laying the foundations for ACMin in 2009.  Marcia is passionate about teaching all believers how to live completely and obediently surrendered to Christ, how to develop a closer relationship with the Lord through effective prayer and Bible study, and how each of us is called to use our God-given gifts purposefully for the advancement and glory of His kingdom through prayer, worship, and service. Raymond Morris – Chief Academic Officer

Raymond holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer University, a Master of Divinity (with Religious Education) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Education also from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been the Executive Director of the Commerce Center for Christian Education since its inception in1984. During those years he directed and taught in the Center’s release-time ministry for ten years and its k-12 Christian school for more than twenty-three years. Paul Cooke – Director of Student Affairs

Paul comes to us after more than 20 years of vocational pastoral ministry and church planting.  He holds a B.S.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Central Florida as well as a M. Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary.  After college Paul played professional golf, instructed, and performed clinics.  Paul has since pastored in three different churches working with youth, small groups, counseling, leadership, teaching and preaching.  Most recently he relocated and planted City Church here in Athens in 2001 and pastored there until recently joining the Athens College of Ministry staff and faculty.  Paul loves the Savior, loves people, loves the local church, loves Athens and longs to see God’s glory displayed in the people, pastors, churches and city of Athens.  Paul oversees and cares for the students and the student community, develops relationships into the church community, and instructs.  He is married for some 31 years to his best friend and love of his life Darby, has five incredible children, a dog, chickens and lives in Watkinsville.  Email Paul at pcooke.acmin@gmail.com

Cindy Mackey – Director, Prayer Ministry Center

Cindy Mackey volunteers as ACMin’s Prayer Ministry Director. Cindy competed on the LPGA Tour from 1983 to 1995 and was an LPGA winner in 1986! She was commissioned as a Prayer Minister in 2002 after signifiant training through St. James United Methodist Church in Athens .In 2004, having completed additional Prayer Ministry training, Cindy founded Hope Abounds Ministry. Established “for setting the captives free” as its primary focus, Hope Abounds Ministry expanded from Prayer Ministry to include individual discipleship, teaching small group Bible studies, and leading corporate prayer and worship gatherings. A gifted Bible teacher, Cindy is a member of the Women’s Ministry Advisory Team at her church, Grace Fellowship, in Watkinsville. Cindy also holds a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Christian Leadership University. Alex Fields – Director of Outreach

Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Georgia and a Master’s Certificate in Intercultural Studies from Columbia International University. Before starting as Director of Outreach, Alex worked in sales with Fortune 500 companies like State Farm and Ford. Alex is a member of Living Hope Church and currently serves as one of the Co-Chairmen of their Mission Team. He is passionate about God’s mission to see every nation come to know and worship Jesus and is committed to helping students and the larger Body of Christ discover their role in the Great Commission. Martha Kimbrell – Accounting Manager

Martha’s brings to our team a vast expertise in accounting practice, second only to her love for the Lord and His Word! Having worked for years as a CPA, Martha now works as anindependent contractor for a number of clients in the greater Athens area managing their accounting, payroll, and tax reporting needs.  Martha also has tremendous training and experience with prayer and prayer ministry and loves to teach others about the deep things in God’s Word. Martha is a valuable asset to the ACMin Leadership Team!
