National Accreditation Through TRACS

The Athens College of Ministry is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), having been awarded Candidate Status as a Category III institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on April 25, 2017.  This status is effective for a period of up to five years.  TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDOE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).  Contact TRACS at: 15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA  24551; Telephone: 434.525.9539; Email:; and TRACS.ORG.

Accreditation Candidacy status indicates that the institution is in compliance with accreditation Standards and Criteria, has been evaluated by an on-site peer team, and in the professional judgment of the evaluation team and the TRACS Accreditation Commission, the institution provides sound instruction and student services, and the institution has the potential to achieve full accreditation within the prescribed five-year period or sooner.
